Some New Cards to Look at..

WOW, I can't believe I haven't posted here forever. I have a new granddaughter now and I'm her daycare provider  and haven't had alot of time for me stuff.   So today I'm posting 2 Halloween Cards and 2 Christmas cards to look at.

This month has been exciting for me as a Stamper. Friends and I attented a Stamp-away Camp for the weekend of Sept 9th, 10th, 11th. Fun was had by all and we made great cards and projects. Boy was I tired when I got home Sunay night, whew...

I love to get together with other stampers. It gets the creative juices flowing again.

These cards are not cased and designed by me. Thanks for looking and enjoy the upcoming holidays of stamping :)

I'll try and be back when I come up with some new stuff :)

(Big News)-Diaper Cake and Favors

OMG, I'm too syked. We're going to be GRANDPARENTS!!!!  Our Daughter "Jennifer" is blessing us with our first. And the baby is a Little Girl..So this Sat. I'm doing a Shower with one of her girlfriends at the Church Hall. How exciting.

I wanted to do a Diaper Cake and little Thank You Favors for the guest. I put inside some nice tea and chocolate. YUM...
Here are photos of my FIRST Diaper Cake I made. Her room will be Butterflies and the colors are "Green Galore, Temp. Tur. Purple, and some kind of Blue.
I choose different color ribbons and Purple poppies and White and Pink Roses at the top. The pictures don't do the cake justice, really. It's 3 tiers and flowers, booties, bibs, onesies, and toys all around and diapers for use.. This is my Centerpiece for the Food Table.

And I wanted to make some favors. I used an old SU envie template. I have alot of Retired DSP so I used that for my package. I printed out her name and date and then punched these out for the front with the little square scallop punch. And I used the little tag from the Sale-A-Bration-Punch Stamp Set, the Mobile.

And We're  having a door-prize also, but I didn't have any of those tickets so I made my own. Just used DSP and printed on them the same info. from the front of the favors and ten Numbered the back.

I'm  a little over-whelmed but if I wasn't I'm not doing it right :) Yes, I have my CHECK LISTS!!! I'm scared I'll forget something..

So all the little stuff is done. Now,,,Tomorrow will be the FOOD day.
And then SATURDAY is our Big event. March 12, 2011.

Thanks for staying with me. And I hope you can share in our excitement. Baby Girl is Due April 14th....Can't wait.
After all this I will get back to making cards. But for now my craft room is a mess!!!
Have a marvelous Day.......Joyce

Be My Valentine

Another Valentine Card. Can't you feel the love flowing :)

Today while driving I saw a Valentine Flag with Red and Purple hearts all over it. I scaled it down a little and this is what I came up with. I was thinking that would look good with Rich Razzleberry and Real Red.
Do you find every time you go out and about you see something and say to yourself "Oooou, that will make a nice card! And then start to imagine the colors and stamps your going to use when you get home, I do it alot.  I just find it funny :)
So here are the materials I used for my Card Today:

SU Folders: Tulip and Square Lattice
SU Bigz Die: Topnote
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry
Stamps: Be My Valentine
Accessories: Pearls, Rich Razzleberry Ribbon, Dimensionals, Vintage Brads (I love these)

I stamped on the topnote cutout and then ran that thru the BigShot. Then stamped and cut-out the Real Red heart and popped on top. Added some ribbon and brad.
Hope you like it. Not bad for looking at a Valentine Flag...
And I hope it inspires you like the flag inspired me today....See ya soon!!! Joyce

Great News & Scallop Baby Card

Happy New Year. Wow, can't believe I haven't been here for awhile. Well anyway, I have a cute card to show you.

I've always wanted to make a "Scallop" card. I made this one into a Giftcard Holder inside. One of the Girls from our "Friday Night Hostess Club" is expecting in Feb. So tonight I will see her and we will give her this card.

Here are the materials I used:

-Large Scallop Circle Sizzix Die
-Coluzzel for center circle
-SU Swiss dot Folder
-CS: Certainly Celery and White
-Stamps: So many Scallops and Baby is from (Retired set) Baby Firsts
For the Scallop Circle for Card you take your 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 CS and fold in half and then place on Die about 3 or 4 scallops from the top of the die-leave it folded and run thru your BigShot. Easy Peezy.
Hope you can use the idea!!

Thanks for stopping by. I have a "Valentine's Day Card" to upload also I made for class.  Have a Warm Evening and let me know what you think??

I HAVE GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My Su Demostrator offered me a STARTER kit to become a SU DEMOSTRATOR, WOO-HOOO. I JUMPED ON IT. SO SOON I WILL BE A BON-A-FIDE STAMPIN' UP DEMO.....WISH ME LUCK..

Making Punched Birds and Keeping Scrissors Clean!!!

Yesterday I got a little bored and starting playing around with my "Bird Punch" from Stampin' UP. I miss seeing the spring and summer birds so I pulled out some paper and starting punching. Came up with a few of my favorites. I hope you can tell what they are.

I don't have a card set-up for these yet. I'm thinking of maybe using these on some Christmas Tags... Just wanted to show how versatile this punch is. If you remember I did a "Pointsetta" card with this punch that was just awesome. And I used the 5point flower punch also from SU to make my little pointsetta there.

Yesterday -I also cleaned all my craft scrissors!!! Have to cut with clean scrissors. So I just use odorless Mineral Spirits and cotton ball and then wipe off the sticky stuff and dry with wet paper towel. Hope you keep your scissors clean also. Helps give clean cuts.....Geez, can you tell I'm a little bored and brain-locked.
I'm sitting here today making a few more exploding photo boxes for gifts and trying to figure out a card I'm working on. I should be cleaning my office, getting it ready for a new little table to stamp on and craft and paint on. But no, I'm playing.
So thanks for stopping by and I hope you make some birds also. And when you do upload them and let me see which ones are your favorite. Have a marvelous day-Joyce
